A Thought From the Director
by Teri Seeger

They play  the National Anthem before the ball games.  I can't keep back the tears anymore.  Seeing the American flag waving in the wind has a whole new significance for me, as it does for most Americans since September 11th.  What a horrible thing to witness.  After the initial shock of it all, the nation responded.  People stood in line for hours to give blood.  Others went just to minister to those who were waiting, hoping that their loved one would be discovered alive.

Still I have to wonder.  What about the 4,000 innocent lives that are lost daily in America to abortion?  Why does our nation not mourn their loss?  They are victims of violence too.  Their death is just as destructive and painful as it must have been for those in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.  And it happens to thousands of babies every day!  We can't just mark a date in our minds and think of the tragedy that happened that day because it just keeps happening over and over.

September 11th taught us that life is sacred and that no one should have the right to take it away from us.  Now when I see the American flag waving in the wind, I include the unborn babies in my prayers and I pray for God to protect them too.  Those of you who love life, I challenge you to do the same.
