Earn While You Learn

LifeCare Center has instituted a nationally acclaimed program called Earn While You Learn.  Expectant and young mothers can "earn" baby clothes, furniture, maternity clothes and other necessities by learning!  The program pairs a young woman with a lay counselor who meets with her every week.  Each lesson earns a client $2 in "Baby Bucks."  Completed homework earns another Baby Buck.  This money can be spent in our Earn While You Learn Store, located at the center.

We know that Earn While You Learn makes a positive impact on the lives of young mothers and life-long impact on their children.  This program helps break cycles of neglect and abuse.

We are encouraging other agencies to talk to us about offering "Baby Bucks" as rewards for other activities, such as keeping their appointments for a prenatal visit or taking childbirth classes.  Please call us at (785) 242-4500 if you are interested in networking with us in this new program!
