Opportunities

There are many opportunities for you to get involved in LifeCare. We are always in need of committed volunteers. Our trained volunteers do a wide variety of tasks, including counseling and office work. If you would be interested in donating time working at LifeCare please contact us.

Counselor
Duties include interviewing clients and assessing their needs, assisting them in running a pregnancy test, crisis intervention, lay counseling and resource referral. Charting and data entry (can be delegated if you don't have computer skills). Training includes Equipped to Serve workbooks, training tapes, observation and mentoring. Must be able to present the Gospel and demonstrate God's love to others. Must sign a confidentiality agreement.

Receptionist
Duties include greeting clients as they come in, filing, data entry, answering the telephone, and possible assisting clients with physical needs. Must be friendly, cheerful and professional. Must sign a confidentiality agreement.

House Parents
Occasionally we have clients who are in need of temporary housing and our list is short of those who are willing to welcome these girls into their homes. Besides housing, there may be transportation needs for appointments or work. Some may have other young children. Duties include mentoring, guidance in daily decision making and a Christian witness.

Prayer Partners
Prayer is a vital part of the on-going ministry of LifeCare. We would like to establish a list of prayer warriors for client situation. Our goal is to mail or e-mail a list of client needs, preferably weekly, to those who will agree to pray. Even though names will be withheld, prayer warriors will also be asked to sign a confidentiality statement. If you would like to receive a weekly prayer list by e-mail please contact us and give us your e-mail address.

Financial Assistance
LifeCare is a non-profit ministry, underwritten by generous supporters. All donations to LifeCare are fully tax-deductible. Your financial help is much needed and greatly appreciated.

Clothing Center
We need volunteers who are willing to assist in our clothing center.
